Dwight Sowerby has over 27 years of experience in health care as President of Sowerby Healthcare, an organization which consisted of 6 nursing homes, 535 beds and over 700 employees prior to its sale to a national chain. Sowerby Healthcare received the prestigious Quality of Life Award by the American Health Care Association three times; in 1992, 1994 and 1995. Dwight is a member of the bar in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, and has served on many state and national committees and organizations including the National Citizens Coalition for Nursing Home Reform and the National Health Lawyers Association. dwight@sowerbyconsulting.com Peter Warecki has served as a Chief Financial Officer in long term care since 1984 and is sought out for his expertise in compiling financial data for health care companies and organizations. Peter has extensive knowledge regarding reimbursement issues, financial pro formas and developing daily financial management systems. He is also adept in assisting smaller facilities with their tax planning. One of Peter's most valuable talents is the ability to view problems through the dual lenses of accounting and operations, something few accounting firms can do. peter@sowerbyconsulting.com Carolyn Doyle, RN has worked as a Director of Nurses in the long term care industry for over twenty five years. During her career of commitment to education and quality care, she has received two very prestigious awards. Recognized for her dedication by Contemporary Long Term Care magazine, Carolyn was named Long Term Care Director of the Year in 1995. The Primary Nursing Model that Carolyn developed for Sowerby Healthcare received the Quality of Life Award from the American Health Care Association in 1995. AHCA is a national association representing most nursing homes in the United States. The association examines the best practices across the nation. A champion for resident's rights she has presented numerous workshops on improving the quality of life for residents in a restraint free environment. Hoszkiewicz is a
licensed nursing home
administrator and has a degree in Recreation and Leisure Studies with a
concentration in
Therapeutic Recreation. As the Director of a Special Care unit, he
developed a 40-hour
education program that integrated classroom and practical experience in
order to prepare
staff for dealing with individuals with dementia. The unit and and
program received
national recognition for improving the quality of life of the
residents. Walter is on the
board of the New Hampshire Alzheimer's Chapter and serves as the
Primary Instructor
for the Basic Education Course for Activity Professionals, a
collaborative effort of the
New Hampshire Health Care Association and St. Joseph School of Health
Occupations. He has
lectured nationally and internationally on the subjects of Alzheimer's
Disease,

S. Girouard
graduated from The Ohio State University, a Phi Kappa Phi Honors
student with a Master of Social Work degree. She is also a
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. With 10 years of
experience in Social Work and Mental Health Services in both Hospital
and Elder health care environments, Amy has a unique perspective and
skill set to bring to bear in wide variety of health care issues.
Amy is a member of NASW NH chapter and is active on the Long Term
Care Ombudsman Advisory Committee and is the Chairperson of social work
subcommittee. She was also a former participant in Geriatric
Interest Group, Stroke Pathway and Physician Orientation at Elliot
